Let’s have a closer look at what is going on in here. Usually light painting implies that the exposure will be Long enough to allow a person with a lighting tool to draw a pattern. This technically means that if one places a model in the frame, the model must not move, even breathe in some cases in order to produce sharp image. If model moves 2 things might happen: 1) Blurred image 2) sharp image but the subject will acquire a black outline of random thickness. To avoid this ppl usually choose indoor dark places or shoot at night time in not highlighted places. For this photo we chose neither, we went to well highlighted area during after sunset time and Ayana put a lot of effort to freeze for almost 3 seconds to produce very sharp image. Whether efforts are worthwhile everyone decides for themselves. But it’s important to mention that this genre of photography is very complex and tiring while sometimes the result can be easily reproduced in photoshop at a way lesser amount of efforts. #IlightSingapore 3/3.
